ABOUT THIS WEBSITE

there are 2 main sections to this site.

one is my personal photography journal, and the other is a journal about my SLT photography.

the distinction between them is the location of the shot.  literally.  if i shot it on SLT property it goes to the SLT side.

please explore both sides :)

green rock in the estuary

the marsh in march...not always neat and tidy, especially after repeated storms and astronomical high tides, but i always enjoy a tromp in the marsh :) yesterday afternoon the sky was overcast and the glowing sun occasionaly gave soft light through the clouds. all this was in advance of this weekend's hard rain. the tide was almost high so you can see how high the tides have been!

Gorgeous shot Marian. Funny, the titled subject is so attractive as is also that warm blue sky wending through the estuary with those puffs of white. But the thatched patterns of the marsh grass is what really makes this most enjoyable for me.

aha! another marshgrass afficianado...:))) i have *acres* of shots of of marshgrass patterns lol!
soon after this shot the sun went behind the cloud bank for the next 3 days of rain...i had noticed a bit earlier that there were suggestions of blue behind the clouds and i went out hoping to catch a bit of that...
it's hard to believe that in 2 months the marsh will be totally green!!
